Jerry B: Impressions of Rock Krawler springs?

I know Jerry has had them for a little while, and I tried searching for a review but came up empty handed.

What do you think so far?

Thanks

Justin

I've had 'em installed at least a year now and I like them. The ride is good and they haven't sagged. The RK shocks have been good too, I like the ride of the two combined, especially since they're not too stiff. For COG reasons though, I'd probably trade down to 4.5"... and would if the right opportunity presented itself.

My experience:

Blaine introduced the 5 1/2" RK front springs on this board when he was looking for something for his D44 conversion.
I saw them and got a full set as they were only $75 a pair.
I had RE 4 1/2" springs.
The rears looked identical size wise and appear to be the same or similar on the Jeep.
The fronts are about 3" longer with two more coils. They raise the Jeep about an inch keeping the front level with the rear.
I found the front to be much softer and felt I HAD to have an Anti-Rock to run them. They felt squirelly just disconnected.
I have seen some complaints since I bought mine about them bowing out. I hope they havn't changed the make up of them 'cause mine are just exactly what I want. I've had them at least a year but time alludes us old guys. I've had them since Blaine went to 37s.

Thanks Jerry and Ron,

I plan on running the 4.5" variety, I just got a new to me jeep (it gets delivered tomm) and it currently has a 3" lift so I'm going to mess around with that first....but I have a feeling I'll want the extra length from the 4.5"
