I've learned a lot about beadlocks lately, mostly from spending so much time with BFGoodrich. Needless to say, what I've learned is that most beadlocks are really, really bad on tires. My understanding is that when you air down a tire, if the inner bead surface isn't rounded to match the contour of the tire, it will actually cut the tire from the inside out. Tires don't have abrasion resistant material on the inside, so they're fairly vunerable to destruction from a poor rim.

Apparently, Allied and Trailready use a contoured bead surface which doesn't destroy tires. Those were the two that BFG pointed out as being good. Some of the others out there were identified as being quite bad and actually causing tire failure.

From personal experience, I owned OMFs and was VERY happy with them. VERY. I did have one tire blow out on the freeway at 70+ mph and didn't as much as lose one bolt. They never loosened on the freeway, never leaked, and never broke a bolt.

They do use the MT Classic II and I was able to crack a big chunk off of those crappy wheels.

Seth thanks, for headsup.

I am a Trailready dealer and can get their stuff for a great price, I might just go with that (their for a bud of mine in Texas)

The only thing that stinks is the 6-8 week wait

Mike several of us are very happy with our Champion beadlocks.

Most companies will beadlock any quality wheel - I sent my forged classics up to Champion to have them done. I also checked out OMF as well - they seem very nice.
