Need ideas for activities at a summer camp

I'm a counselor at a summer camp this summer and I'll need fun activity and games for the kids.

I'll be the head of the Girls 13 group but I'll have to work with kids as young as 5 I believe.

Anyone have any cool ideas that they did at a camp or made up that would be good? This is for games (example: kickball, softball) and activities like Telephone and other sitting less active stuff.

Awwwww.... It's so nice being loved.

Scavenger hunt is cool, not sure if it is feasible depending on where we are ont he grounds but it could work in the "clubhouse".

Good old fashion SNIPE hunt is always good for a few laughs and sometimes even a tear or two.

Do a search on Boy Scouts and activities on Yahoo, Google, etc. and you'll find a bunch of crazy fun games and skits listed in various sites for Boy Scouts to do on their campouts and during troop meetings. Here's one link to get you started... http://www.macscouter.com/Games/ There are enough games and skits in that one link for kids for ten summer camps.

Jeep mods.... motorcycle mods.... LOL I'd be in such trouble.

Thanks for the links, I'll be checking them out. I think anything called SNIPE could be an issue. The idea of it is damn funny though.

Wink

and if you need a break midway the week you can always play 'hide and seek'. Let the kids hide and don't go seek till dusk (you don't want to scare them too much )
