3-CORE RADIATOR Group Buy notice.

ALL--I used a friend's business acc't to get a group buy organized on radiator.com's 3-core Wrangler radiators.

We have to get a minimum of 4 each ordered on the same day and they HAVE to be paid by credit card, no exceptions.

The price will be $149, overnite (or 2-day, depends on your location) shipping included. The is about $75 off regular dealer price.

YOU will contact them and take care of payment and shipping instructions. I don't want anyone's CC info.

No-one else other than members of this BB can participate, I must give the names, beforehand, to my contact, but if you have a buddy that wants one, YOU can order and pay for as many as you want. Please don't post this info anywhere else because I won't mess w/ them.

This will close on Monday night, I'll call them Tuesday morning and then e-mail the ordering info to you.

We will possibly clean them out before the buy is filled (if we get enough), if so, they will backorder and send out when available.

Robert is first in line

Don't post if you want one, but can't afford it right now. I'll do another buy in the spring/summer sometime (but the $$$ may change).

Please post here ONLY if you want one, FOR SURE. And post your current e-mail link so I can get you the ordering info.

Dictionary needed.

Ron,

Did you move to the back woods of Las Vegas? What's up with the pimp dialogue?

That's not pimp talk. That's how the college kids on JU talk. It's higher education talk. Sometime I get in silly moods and need to amuse myself.
I truly don't know what a 3 core radiator is or does. My Jeep hasn't got hot yet so I'm wondering what it's all about.

I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance!

Ron,

The real benefit of this radiator is that it is all metal. The fact that it is 3 core (3 rows of cooling vs. the 2 rows on the stock) is an added bonus. If it hasn't happened yet, you can expect your stock radiator to start leaking where the plastic ends are crimped on. I've heard it theorized that the plastic and metal expand and contract at different rates, leading to it's demise. Either way, it is a common problem once your mileage gets up a bit. My dad's went out at about 120K miles and mines going out at 71K miles. If it ain't broke you don't have to fix it. In our two cases it was a slow leak not a catastrophic failure. FWIW, this is a very good price. I got the same radiator at a good price and it was $75 more.

Do we know what brand they'll be offering? Will these share the same bolt pattern as the OEM radiator and will it accept the shroud?

If it's a direct bolt-in, I'm game. bkilby@pacbell.net

Brad,

I got my 3 core from radiator.com as well and it is made by CSF. It's been sitting in my garage for over a month now so I can't tell you how things line up.

Brad,
Put my name down! My Jeep is a '97 and probably is ready for it.

I have had to attend to the top tank late last spring and now the bottom tank is leaking which is why I want an all metal radiator - continuing to throw money at this radiator is throwing good after bad. Plus, 3 cores will provide more cooling surface which is helpful as my Jeep runs warm. FWIW, my stock radiator is only a 1 core.

Brad, what do we need to do as far as calling on this - my credit card is burning a hole in my pocket to get this done
