uh, I am a little confused here. Aren't all the rubber round thingys supposed to be on the ground?
I told that guy not to let Don spot for him. You are just another ride in the amusement park of my mind.

Ouch! Glad to hear everyone's OK.
I took my family out for a quick run today too.

To what degree would you contribute the mud as being a factor for the rollover? Is this one of those climbs where generous amounts of wheel speed are required (I've not wheeled in mud hence the seemly stupid questiions)
Glad to hear that no one was hurt. In the near future I'm going to build a thingy for the back of my Jeep and carry more stuff. http://www.stu-offroad.com |

Blaine, I had just come down this hill and was about 100 yards behind him. NANA!
(But this tired old man was the first Jeep/man to help them out of the rig!) Stu, this mud was about 1" thick (frost had come out of the ground) and on top of frozen dirt makes it like greased glass! In this case you did not need much wheelspeed. What you can't see is the huge hole behind his RR tire. When the rr tire hit the hole, the rf lifted and oops-very slow flop. Broke a mirror, tweaked a f.fender, and a qt. or 2 of 90wt. ran out of the trans shifter to make a mess. Very fortunate. |

I need to pay my club dues so I can get back onto the email list.
That looks like the motorcycle park. That place can get slick. Tony, I hope everything is OK.

This makes tip-over number three.
Here is a run down play by play. I see Don's yellow flatty coming down this hill. I was getting bored with the ice-chunk-filled pond anyway. Roxanne and I zoom up to the hill and have a look. She says "Could be slick." I say, "let's try it anyway." the dog says, "Your drivin' buddy I am just here to mark my territory when you let me out." We push up the hill a little bit and see there is a pretty good sized hole in the passenger side rut. I decide to straddle the hole. I did not want to start sliding around on the hill so I did not hit it very hard. When my rear tires get to the hole in the rut the hill sluffs of into the hole and my drivers side rear tire goes in. For those that have tipped/rolled your vehicle, you know what I am talking about when I say everything is in slow motion. All sorts of thoughts come to your mind. "Is the hill so slick that I will slide to the bottom on my side?" "I am rolling to the driver's side my fire extinguisher is going to be harder to get to." "Where are my hands? Where are Roxanne's? Good, she remembered what I told her and is hanging on to the 'oh-sh*t' handle." "The dog is the only thing not tied down. Is he going to hit me in the head?" "I hear crunching. Is that windshield? No, it is the only good mirror I have left on my jeep and it just died a miserable death. I needed to get one for the passenger side now I need to get two and they were 19.95 at schuck's" All this goes through your mind in about two seconds. You are acutly aware that you hear jeeps being dispached and people positioning thier jeeps to hook the winches up to you. After extracting ourselves from the jeep (roll cage spreader bars make a great ladder.) I went to get the dog. I reached down to get him and he thought I was calling him from outside the jeep because he did not look up. The poor thing ran toward the windshield and accordianed of it. He did finally look up and I pulled him free. The worst part of it was the 90wt oil that leaked out the top of the transmission and all over the inside of my top. Other than that, we got it back on its muddy feet and went and did some more wheelin'. T3 http://www.geocities.com/alancaster_esswest/jeep.html

No fun. I went all the way over and landed on my wheels! That had to be the least damage to a Jeep in a roll over in history. The only thing I had to replace was the windshield.
Ron I like the way my Jeep is now..... I'd just like it, well, a little higher off the ground with more ground clearance!
