Talking Hey Joe Dillard, you retired too soon!!!!

Cause if you didn't, you could sign my charge book!!!

Gotta go, need to learn a couple of songs, how far is up, and a few other "important" things....

That's AWESOME news William! Congratulations! I'll soon be welcoming you into the Chiefs Mess after you survive the initiation process - you belong there!! I haven't looked at the Chiefs list yet - but may tomorrow as I'm up in Oxnard teaching (Port Hueneme, Naval Surface Weapons Center).

Yeah - it's already been 1 year on the 12th of this month since I wore my Chiefs uniform and transitioned into the civilian community.

IMO, once a Chief - always a Chief!

I'll be sure to contact your Command Master Chief & have him place a charge in your charge book ($$$$$), if I don't get the opportunity to sign it!

Again, congratulations, and welcome to "The Mess"!

It's part of the ~2 month long initiation process.

Each Chief who you are under at the command you are attached to will have a page which belongs to them with their name & some other data within the charge book. Towards the back, there will be some empty pages so that other Chiefs can make entries too.

These entries can be good - or not so good.

Mostly they will be words of wisdom, congratulations etc.

If while going through the initiation process the "Chief Selectee" (this person is NOT a Chief yet), makes mistakes, is a slug, routinely is a PITA, this is where charges $$$$$ will be placed within the book.

Towards the end of the initiation, a tally will be done & the Selectee will be required to pay the fines $$$ prior to becoming a Chief.

Thanks everyone.

I'm in the middle of transistion now.. so lack of sleep and many training events occupy my days.

Joe, PM me your number so I can arrange a time. I'll limp over and see you.

Will do.....I plan on being home this weekend.

I have another good Jeeper buddy that'll be stopping by my place this weekend who also just picked-up Chief (FCC). Perhaps both you guys can stop by & chew the fat.
