Tonight I have my first of a half-dozen private Tango lessons with my wife. She has been after me for about ten years to do this after she saw Al Pacino and a hot woman doing the Tango in Scent of a Woman. This was a Christmas present to my wife so I'm lucky I got several months of delays, but the delays are over.

I'm no ballroom dancer so I figure I'm just going to embarass myself, my wife, and our Russian dance instructor Sonya.

Oh it's gonna be awful. I knew I was in trouble when Sonya told me I needed shoes with leather soles so I can glide across the dance floor properly. Pray for me that I don't fall flat on my face.

Have fun with that one Jerry. You're a better man than I. I'd hire my wife a dance partner before you'd see me out there. Somebody could get hurt by one of these clodhoppers. I got married so I wouldn't have to dance any more.

I just finished 8 weeks of lessons (ballroom/latin, but not tango) with the Wife. Bought it for her for Xmas. I don't dance, and she's been trying to drag me onto the dance floor for 17 years, so doing this for her was a great gift.

Its frustrating as he11, A LOT harder than it looks. Good luck!

Heh that is a cool video Sergey, I always dug that style of Russian dancing! Somehow I don't think they were really dancing to Run DMC when that film was shot but that was a cool mix.

Well, my wife and I have two Tango lessons left in the package I bought her for Christmas but I can't say I've picked up anything more than the basics. The last lesson was more fun as it put more steps together but I'm still not very good at all. I just pray I never have to display my limited Tango skills out in public where anyone knows me.
