Help needed with removal of stripped out bolt
I have Bar Pin Elminators on the rear shocks. I'm replacing the shocks, and last night when looking over the shocks I notice one bolt that is holding in the BPE is sticking down. I put a wrench on it and it wouldn't budge either way. Now I didn't put a lot of force on it with the tire still on, it was late, and my only intention was to tighten it up if it were loose. But I have a feeling it's stripped in place. If so this is a hard spot to get at, even with the tire and axle off.
And to boot it's an allen head bolt, with are notorius for stripping out. Is there a good way to remove this bolt, or am I going to have to cut it off, drill it out and then re tap the hole?

An option you may need to look at is opening up the tub above the stripped nut/bolt to gain access.
You can cut the tub sheet metal and peel it back, do the work and then weld (or duct tape) the metal back in place. I ended up doing this to mine so I could put the BPEs on top of the nuts so my shocks could compress more. I used the duct tape method because I'll have to get back in there to change shocks.
