Maybe yes, maybe no. I finally found the ultimate test for the differences between high and low air pressure traction.

I can now definitively prove that there is a drastic difference without leaving my driveway.

I am modifying a trailer to haul my jeep. It is identical in the back to my other trailer in that it has a flat deck with steel angle across it. Now, I driven up on the trailer in 4 lo with the lockers engaged hundreds of times. I had occasion to check the tongue weight on the new trailer, so I whipped the jeep over to pull it up on the trailer and as this one has no ramps as of yet, I decided to use the same method as in the past.

There was nothing I could do to get the jeep up on the trailer with street pressure of 26 psi in the tires. Just sat there and spun the tires, I didn't feel like airing down, so I had to use the winch.

Don't know why I never thought of that simple test before.

Is Chet the guy who's going to outdo you guys in JV without airing down? I seem to remember the thread on JU.

Yes, Chet is the guy on JU that I made the bet with concerning the traversing of the trail of my chosing without external assistance.

No rockstacking, no pushing, no tugging or winching, street pressure as stated in previous threads, and he brings his own spotter so as to not be able to claim any sabotage by being put on bad lines.

It also had to be the rig he posted quite frequent pics of.

I offered to pay usual and customary expenses both directions for the drive out and back if he completed the trail as per his arguements and if he failed, he absorbed all the expenses.

Offer still stands. The other part was he had to go on JU and admit public defeat and that his standard arguements were little more than attempts at trolling for the sake of arguement.

Well then, you ought to pick another user name, one that has not been associated with the same garbage as the one you picked.

Well,
If you aren't Chet welcome aboard. If you are, you owe a few folks an explanation.

If you aren't Chet, you should be aware that a guy with the same user name you picked made a habit out of trolling the on line Jeep boards and screwed more than a few folks out of money for parts. Its not a well liked user name, through no fault of yours if you indeed are someone else.

I'm not Chet. I'm Jason from WV. I just picked up my TJ about 3 months ago and somewhat new to all the TJ boards.
