Rear Brake Pads

I'm ordering some PF brake pads, but none of the sites I've been to give an option for rear axle type. Do the D35 and D44 use the same brake pads? (I've got a D44)

TIA

Un-confuse me. Do you have disk brakes in the rear which use pads or drums which use shoes?

If it's drums, I was never able to find PF shoes for them.

In either event, I am pretty sure that the shoes or pads are interchangeable if you have the stock set-up.

Performance Friction pads grab pretty good. The general idea is to retard rear brakes on a SWB jeep. Rumor has it, on some TJs DC even grooved the rear brake pads, for less resistance.

I never seem to wear out rear brakes.

OEM D44 drums, so shoes if you are so inclined (you are now un-confused ), but they call them pads at www.nationalfleetparts.com

I found rear PF pads/shoes there, I guess I'll order them and see if they fit.

I adjust my rear brakes fairly often, and they have worn almost as fast as the front.

Thanks,

I think something is wrong with the site you linked. PF does not make drum shoes, only disc pads. If you check Performance Friction's site, they do not list any "rear" applications for a 98 TJ

Just called PF and you are right, they do not make drum shoes at this time. The part number listed is for disk brake pads (maybe for the GC?) the gentleman I spoke to said he will look into it and update their catalog.

Thanks again!
