Need a little ARB advice for a friend

A buddy of mine bought a used D/30 ARB carrier, pump, and switches but no instructions. He knows how to set the R/P up but has some questions about the operation of the arb itself. One question he has is once the arb is switched to the off position how is the air bleed down in order to disengage the locker? I was not sure and assumed the vent was built into the solenoid itself.. Any links or posted info on this woud be greatly appreciated... Chuck

The ARB Compressor pressurizes the airline and therfore locks the ARB, once turned off the air escapes through the solonoid and unlocks.

Just like you thought

NOTE: If you see oil in the lines or surrounding area of compressor the O Rings are bad and should be replaces ($25?)
