I just heard another amazing fire story from the guy who does our hazardous waste. One of the fellows in his company used a vacuum truck to fight the fires in Santee ? Lake Jennings area.

These trucks can put out negative pressure to suck water in, and then positive pressure to spray it out.

He actually saved a couple of houses. Unfortunately the truck caught on fire, so our guy had to drive in in his truck to get the fellow out.

This is the kind of spirit I am talking about. Yes, they lost some equipment, but nobody got hurt, and they saved houses.

That is excellent - unless he has his answering machine through the phone company.

Final Update on my place.. I gave a friend my address to my house, because he said he had a buddy that was up on the mountain and his friend was willing to go over to my place and give me a call, regarding the status of the house. Well.. Great news, its still standing, and the only damage to it is the smoke damage, which can be repaired.. its just a smoke smell now that we have to get rid of. Good luck to everyone else fighting with these fires!

That's awesome! Now if we can get the same type of news for Scott Hill, things will be better.

Scott,

That's music to my ears! I'm talking Rock & Roll since that's what I like to listen to.

Also, lets continue to keep others well being a priority! I'm sure there are needs of others close to us who could use some type of support.

I've paged him a couple of times but have yet to hear back from him. I figure he must overwhelmed with what to do, where to go, considering everything. I am hoping everything is ok.

From what I understand, running springs is still ok, but not completely out of the woods yet.. Keep Scott in your prayers!

With all the rain, you'd think things are under control now. At anyrate, if anyone hears anything about Scott Hill's situation (that Scott is cool with letting anyone or everyone know), and has a moment, can they let us know?

If things are bad (i.e. he's been burned out) can they get us a way to contact him and dredge up some support..

Do you happen to know if he saw Scott Hill's house or a burned out hulk?

Unfortunately, he went by my house first, and did not come back. I did not have a chance to ask. Even then, I seriously doubt Mr. President knows witch of the houses is Scott Hill's.

Funny you say that William - I DID buy him one for his cross country Jeep delivery/pickup job that he did for me - but I took it back and gave it to my wife who needed a new phone....
