Thumbs up I am back

Well, what a trip it was: very exciting and most excellent; as always, not nearly enough time to see and do everything we wanted, but full of memories that are sure to last the lifetime. We met a great deal of interesting people, made some new friends, and saw many fascinating places.

My first thanks are to my traveling companion and good friend Matt N from Australia. Also to my new traveling companion Noodle from New York who joined us for the second part of the trip.

My deepest appreciation and respects go out to Don (Tumbleweed), his wife Rita, and adorable dog Shadow. Don and Rita allowed us to stay in their house for two nights, fed us, gave us all kinds of presents, and took us on a day tour of very very interesting places.

Also thanks to Mark (mbryson) for giving us an excellent tour of what we wanted to see in Salt Lake City on this trip.

And thank you to everybody who made suggestions for the trip, and followed our progress.

I still have a couple of last day?s quick reports to finish, then organize the photos, and write the full story.

There are 1611 e-mail messages in my inbox, a heap of mail, and I am pretty sure I?ll have a mild faint at the amount of things to do collected at work when I show up there on Monday; but first, I am going to get some sleep. This was all worth it, and I can?t wait to start planning the next expedition and invite as many friends to come along as I can.

Good night.

Glad to hear you are back Sergey. Really enjoyed the too short visit with you and Matt. One bad tire in that many miles is pretty minimal for troubles. Eagerly awaiting your final trip report and the pictures.

Speaking of bad tires, did America's Tire replace it for you?

You should have had the Certificates in the glove box that covered them.

Oh, absolutely, they installed a brand new tire, no questions asked, in 15 minutes; and they had 8 more of the same brand and size tires left when we left 15 minutes later. I love America?s tire.
