Fast Idle at Startup
Hello all again
Happy New Year to you all I have another jeep wrangler question. My 2.5 1987 Wrangler revs up to almost 3000 rpm's on start up. It returns to a normal idle after 30 to 45 seconds. This reving has me worried especially on these cold mornings. Anybody have any ideas what can be causing this? Thanks and hope to hear from yas

You recently had the head off right?
High idle typicaly is caused by an intake leak. Maybe it's a slight leak at the intake manifold gasket and once warmed up thing swell enough to seal it off...
