Banks
Awhile back I needed to replace the stock exhaust manifold on my TJ 4L. I got involved with Banks, prototyping their new header, and at the same time was given a very early version of their cat back system. At the time of install everything fit well and sounded good to boot. Later I added more lift and upgraded my rear axle (another story) to fit bigger tires. At this point the passenger side upper control arm bracket was squarely hitting the exhaust pipe with only about an inch of spring compression. Needless to say the dent was getting bigger and something needed to be done. At first I hesitated to call Banks because I figured this was a problem caused by the introduction of aftermarket parts, not their design. I figured they'd tell me to "go take a flying leap..." or something of the sort. I was wrong. They took a look at the situation and basically bent me a custom stainless pipe for my application. I can't thank these guys enough, they do nice work.
I know the last thing most of you are worried about is a chrome tipped exhaust system, but I thought I'd share.
Brian.
