Oahu, Hawaii

Time has come once again for me to take a venture from the comforts of home to do some business travels. I'll be departing San Diego Jan 7th to be in Waikiki Beach and Pearl Harbor till ~Feb 3rd.

Sure, I'll miss being away from home, but at least I won't be in the Persian Gulf or some other sandbox.

My biggest regret concerning this trip is that it looks as if I'll miss this years Rookie Run due to timing.

Oh a positive note - there's a Jeepin' run being organized by a guy on JF on my behalf, so at least I'll be able to enjoy a little bit of our sport while away. Naturally, it won't be anything like Sledge, but at least it should prove to be fun and it won't be my Jeep getting all muddy.

If anybody wishes for me to pick something up while I'm there, just let me know but it must be something relatively small if I'm to bring it back in my luggage.

Aloha,
Joe

I'm headed there to Joe, but you leave a few days before I go. Leave some good weather there for me!

Will do.

I was suppose to stay till Feb 17th or so, but our training dates have been trimmed.

Are you going over for business, pleasure, or a mix?

It's a business trip, but I'm taking a few extra days to have some fun too. Can't wait to get there and enjoy some warm weather. I'm tired of the snow here already and winter has barely begun....

You'll just miss me - we're out there from 31 Dec to 08 January.

I hear you on the snow - one of my projects was moving a radar station from NAS Whidbey to Moses Lake, it _do_ snow!
