Ukrainian plane crashes in Iran, 45 dead

An-140 (registration number UR-14003, serial number 0204, flight AHW 2137) crashed in Iran at 15:59 UTC on December 23rd, 2002.

This was a new plane; it had only 71 hours and 28 minutes of flight time.

At the time there are four versions on why the plane went down: engine malfunction, pilot error, shut down by a rocket, and bad quality fuel.
