Hello, my name is CD, I have a jeep.

Hi,
campingdad here.

I'm vp and conservation chair of a jeep club in the north east called North East Willys Jeeps Organization.

I have been particularly active on the Recreation and Land Use side of the club. I own a 97 tj with an OME suspension lift, a 1" bodly lift, a little bit of armor, a lock right, and some 32" ssr's.

As of this am I the owner of a 1961 4X4 Willys pickup which I am ecstatic about.
I just have to take delivery of it.

So...anyway, looking at the names on this board, quite a few of you know who I am and I know who you are.

Hi.

Where's my token. ;D

Now that I've reeled you all in with the soothing images of a fine vintage willys, here's the egg.

Hmmm, that front bumper on your TJ looks a little funkalicious

That Willys looks about the same as one for sale down the street from me. This one is bright orange, and has had some restoration work completed on it. Can't be even close to free though, because people are constantly there checking it out, but it has yet to move, even for a test drive. So the asking price has got to be pretty steep.

Nice find!

I'm pretty sure it is in good mechanical shape, have a look:

Probably priced to recoup the restoration costs... it looks to be in very nice shape.

Thumbs up

It DOES look good. That chrome center hoop scares 'em all away!

I can see why he is asking so much- looks good.

CD, you don't have to worry too much about that around here. There are few fish in this little pond that rise to flame bait and even then the discussions have a tendency to remain pretty civil. We are more inclined to ignore stuff. Some of us get pretty good at it too.

Thanks mrblaine. You guys seem to have the same attitude we have at our "semi-local board" www.neow.org Self moderation with the "elders" setting the tone. Kudos to you guys.

We basically live and breathe by "rule #5"

Rule #5- Don't be stupid.

I wonder how many times I've broken that rule?

I take a week off and the neighborhood goes to heck....

Who invited 'dad over here?

Just kidding! Welcome aboard. I think you'll find I'm less confrontational and perhaps even more mature when I'm here than I am "over there".

Oh, and William, I'd be willing to be you break rule #5 every day of your life...

Hi CD,

I'm sure you will enjoy the board.

Certainly there is a great representation of folks from the So.Cal and "Left Coast" in general, but then again there are a few from Kentucky too.

Actually, if you go on a State by State per capita basis, I think you being from NH would have the greatest representation!

(Well until someone shows up from Wyoming! Anyone here from Wyoming that I am forgetting? If so, sorry!)

Welcome,

Frank
