A man of few words.

Welcome to JeepBBS.

Hope you enjoy your visit; I see that you are the Program Director. What program are you directing?

On another note, would you like me to make you a CD of all your photos?

Kat

Hi Garry, welcome from one newbie to another. It was a pleasure watching you and Blaine put that TJ through the paces at the ARCA event earlier this year.

My old burnt out computer has a screen saver full of Jeep pictures. They are mostly of some guy named Gary. I think that would be you!
Hope to meet you some day. Maybe in Johnson Valley?
Ron

Garry,

It does not default to that, someone assigned that to you and I can guess who it is since only one person on here can do that. Can you guess who done it?

Kat

I'll bring the CD to Rocktoberfest.

Never met you Gary, so don't believe what they say about me. Save your opinion for when you meet me and make the jokes then.

BTW, you're gonna be a member of my new fence sitters forum. But your fence is going to be between hardcore and crazy. Ron will be there shaking the fence.

Garry,

Howdy and welcome from Utah. Since Blaine mentioned age, it seems to have become obligatory, but I apparently must point out that despite my screen name of "Grandpappy" (which was assigned to me by the same mysterious JeepBBS administrator that deemed you the "Program Director"), I am actually not the oldest geezer Jeeper on this board. The latest "addition" to my moniker helps clarify that fact.

Oh Ancient One (I mean Ron),

It's quite true that I am an old fart, but I'm not sure I buy into this "pup" thing (unless you're talking about one of those weird, wrinkled-up dogs).

BTW, how old is Garry? Maybe he can take on the JeepBBS mantle of "Most Senior One". Don't you kind of have to be that to also be called "Program Director"? Here's our chance to both get off this hook.

Garry can order off of the "senior menu" without ever being asked for ID.

Garry,

A big hearty welcome from Arizona! (someone has to represent this heat box!)

Never met you in person, but I've seen some home videos of you and mrb in action! Maybe someday I'll get the pleasure of saying HI in person.

One of Garry, our fearless Program Director!

Garry,

You will have to forgive TJRon and William for the spelling of your name. TJRon has an excuse; he's too old to remember and William, well he'll catch on after awhile

Garrry,
Did I hear Florence Junction? Mineral Mountains? One of my favorite places! I'm not into the big organized groups but that would be a fun place to get some like minded people together!
Have fun Garry,
Ron

Ron:
I learned about Anaconda and others at AZ Jamboree last year while following the masses. If U get to know me you will understand just how well that sets with me. This year I have been cut a whole lot of slack about going where I want and doing what I want. If you are interested in a non catered run later in the year I am defiantly in. However this years Jamboree thing is called paying your dues.

Garry,
I went there three times last year and it is a tuff place to find runs. My son and I spent a day exploring canyons off of box canyon looking for Martinez Canyon. All the directions we had were crap. We had a great time though. I finally found it the second visit. Fun run with the beautifull cabin area and the mill. I love checking out all the abandoned mining stuff in the area. On my third visit in late spring (yucky flies everywhere) I realized a fun rock run was right next to the road I'd been on many times! I have a post in the Jeeper Introduction, describing one foolish trail my wife and I took.
I would be up for a another trip there, for sure!

OK....I start to see the situation coming together. I had no idea. Just goes to show that you (I guess I should say me) learn something every day!

Garry,

Oct. 18th....ouch, that is right in the middle of the work week (unlike old man Ron, some of us are not yet retired!)

I'll try to hook up with you over the Jamboree weekend. I'll be coming back from vacation just a week before that so I don't know yet what will or will not be lined up for me. Keeping my fingers crossed!
