Cool Jeepchick in Missouri

I was doing a google search for a yoke flange adaptor and somehow found this site. It was one that I hadn't ever heard of before or seen so I thought I'd pop in. I also posted an event that our local jeep club is sponsoring, check out "Jeepstock!!!!!" in the "Get out and wheel" section! Should be a GREAT TIME!!!!

So enough about that, I'm a newbie jeeper, just got my baby in April. Its a 2001 TJ Sport. Still working on mods, have a TeraFlex 2" budget boost, TeraFlex quick discos and 31" Trxus.

21 years old from Saint Louis. Hmm...what else? Student at St.Louis U. Guess that's about it!!!!!

The peeps on JU were ruthless when it came to my pics...
If I was smart, I'd learn not to post the link on my profile.

Trust me, this isn't JU. While there are a few here that are on that site, it's mostly the mature ones. No one will judge you on your pics.

Welcome from one JC to another.

I judged her by her pics. I found her guilty of looking just fine. Of course; it does help that she owns a Jeep.

If it's like all your stories I'm sure it's hard to believe.

Just like that fish story... I caught a fish this big <==================> when in reality it was only this big <=====>

We were on a run at the Badlands in Attica, IN and they had a lot of rain the previous week. Apparently the water came up enough to let the fish get into a mud pit and when the water went back down, it was trapped. One of the guys had gone through the mud pit and noticed something moving and called us over and there was the fish. Everybody just kinda stood there and watched it for like 10 minutes and finally I decided I'd be the bigger "man" and get it out. So I picked it up and carried it over to the lake and threw it in. I think it hurt the guys' egos that they were all too chicken to pick it up.

So what exactly is a yoke flange adaptor ?

obviously it adapts yoke flanges, but I still can't figure it out.
Is it the drive plate on the end of the drive shaft that
bolts to the RE?

Beats the heck out of me. I'm still learning and I haven't quite advanced that far yet! All I know is that my friend is swapping his d35 rear axle for an 8.8 and needs a yoke flange adaptor. He's out of town without internet access and I saw one for sale but I wasn't sure if it was the right one for his jeep so I was trying to figure it out.

He just needs to go to his local drivshaft shop and have them take care of him. The cheapest way is probably redo the driveshaft with a different style mount, also a good time to put fresh U-joints in the driveshaft.

Heya JE,

It's Shark.

Call driveshafts unlimited out in Arnold. He usually stocks them, although he might only carry the TJ one like I'm trying to peddle for $20.

Tell them about our HOT trip out at Sayersbrook in my TJ.

Welcome to the forum, jeep chick. There are quite a few gals on this forum as you look through it. I stay away from the technical stuff because it's usually over my head. I like to learn what I can from my hubby and I certainly help him, but I'm not as good as you and can recite what's in my jeep as modifications. I know it's lifted so much my husband had to put stirrups in it for me to get in it. And I kinda now how to drive it. I do my best for an old grandma.

I do like to help my husband with coming up with new ideas and or designing. Sometimes he has trouble invisioning my ideas, so he has to make it as he goes, but thats the part I like best.

Welcome to the forum.
