Salutations!

Hello Jeepers,

With great enthusiasm, I knock on your door seeking asylum. Many thanks to Blaine for steering me towards such a supportive, informative community (I've peeked through the archives.) A few thoughts I had while looking them over:

William - Congrats on the house! It is quite a feeling to have a place to call your own.

Scott - If you're still looking for a D44 case for a 3.73, I'm nearly positive I have my stock Trac-lock with only a few thousand miles at my office, yours if you need it. Good luck with your job search.

Seth - Nice to have your acquaintance again. 'Hope your enjoying San Diego and good luck with your self-employment and Jeep repairs. Oh yeah, congrats on gettin' hitched.

Robert - RAMJAW has been a bit slow since you've been gone. Update your website. Ha Ha

Tobject - Your posts at Jeepsunlimited were always a good read! Your sense of humor is deviant ... I like it. BTW, looking at your website, I see it's hosted at peptide-synthesis.com. Useless tidbit, I'm related to Bruce Merrifield. Name ring a bell? Ha Ha.

Blaine - Thanks for the invite and the sharing of your vast Jeep knowledge and resources.

Sorry for being so long winded, me thinks I've had one too many Mountain Dews and not enough sleep!

Jeff

Absolutely wonderful, thank you! It's one of those items that everybody who has one tell you how great it is, and while you try to believe them, can only truly get it once you try it. One word ... CONTROL! I've yet to experience a downside to it. Like Buick's new tag line ... "It's all good."

What? You think I only know where stuff is for TJ's? How about a full float kit and all the rest for a 20?

Just what is it that you need?

Welcome Jeff!

This is very nice that you found your way here. Please make yourself comfortable.
We are trying to make JeepBBS the focal point of Internet for jeepers everywhere to stop by and talk about anything jeepers like to talk about.

Hey, I remember you sent me one of your bumperlets. Thanks again! It treated me well for long time right until I switched to a Currie bumper.

You related to the guy who won the Nobel Prize for developing the solid-phase peptide synthesis? Wow! This is way cool.

I am not a chemist myself, but I developed a little web page that explains to regular folks what peptides and peptide synthesis are about:

http://www.peptide-synthesis-and-cus...synthesis.com/

I mention Bruce Merrifield on that page.

Jeff,

Welcome aboard! Nice to see yet another familiar name show up here! Blaine is doing a good job herding the tired, the weak, the homeless, the....wait a second, that was a sign, displayed in a harbor in New York.

Anyway, welcome!

Amy,

Although they're not the best quick disconnect out ther, they are certainly better than having to disconnect the bolt every time. They are made for 4.5" lift, but can easily be adapted to fit other lifts (or no lift) as well. Just cut the appropriate length out of the middle link and drill a new hole through 'em. Like I said, you're welcome to them

Yeah, Bruce is my dad's cousin's husband. He won the Nobel in the mid 80's for his work in the middle of the century. I never really thought much of it but I guess he made some important discoveries.

As for the bumperettes, I've got 3 more to blow out of here.

Definitely! Before solid phase, peptide-synthesis was some uncertain hooky voodoo black magic expensive stuff.

Well Jeff...

You ought to fit in just fine, your first post and already your giving away free stuff. You wouldn't happen to have a spare High Lift jack handle that you don't need anymore? I think that Robert needs one more than I do.

Well, I would like to take you up on that offer.... but I would like to offer something in return. This board has been so very helpful with my newness to Jeeping.
Sooo, let's see what I have to offer in trade .... how's about a 31" spice tire cover? or a jar of freshly canned dill pickles?

I'd probably be better off sending you $5 to go to the store and buy some ... I don't know if UPS has a "be kind to pickles" policy, but I highly doubt it.
