like stated above already -> 10k lbs is not exactly overkill
And don't go by the 1 1/2 times the weight of the Jeep calculation, cause like stated -> it might not always be your own butt on the line ... and you're not always winching under perfect conditions (flat surface and such) My HS9500i has served me and others well, over the time I've had it

ok guys.. as i posed the pic of my winch on the 1st page for alll to see, my current ? is this.. im going to throw that on my 03 TJ whcih currently is running 5.5 RE springs. Should i add a coil spacer or even a 1'' BL to offset the weight of the winch so my front doesnt sag or just run 5.5 RE springs in the rear and up to the 7s up front? any suggestions?

on mine I installed 3/4 spacers up front to make up for the winch weight a little
Just slap the winch on there first and see how 'bad' the 'nose down' is |

ill put the winch on when i get around to it today or tommorow and see how bad it sags..thanks again
