JV Thanksgiving Run

Hello all,

thought it more appropriate to start a thread in the 'get out and wheel' section.

Who all is going to attend and from when till when?

Just wanted to let you guys know I will not be able to make it this year. Mom ended up buying a winter home so my brother is driving Miss Daisy down south for the winter and it happens to be that whole week of JV.

Looks like this year Michele and I are hosting the 'extended' family Thanksgiving dinner at our house.

My plan is to head to JV Friday afternoon (20th) or Sat morning (21st) and stay through Wednesday.

I'll certainly miss enjoying the Thanksgiving meal with all of you, but looking forward to some quality JV time!

Matt

Have to go into town (Palm Springs) on Thursday to the parents house (they don't have many left.) I'll be back late Thursday with the family! You guys are welcome to use my RV to cook or heat anything up.

I also have three folding tables if you need them.

The RV has been arranged and if everything works out, we'll be at the camp spot sometime Saturday afternoon and hopefully before dark.

See y'all in a week

Alot of you guys are getting ready to head out to JV. Have a safe trip out here! We look forward to seeing everyone. It has been getting cold so bring lots of warm clothes. Firewood is good too!

David, I will allways have an extra can of soup for you!

Looks like the forecast for all of next week is highs in the mid 60's, lows mid 30's.

I better stock up on my tent heater propane...

We are all loaded up, will be heading out first thing in the morning. Looks like good weather all the way over so that's a positive. We'll load up on firewood when we get to California.
All going well we should be there early Sat afternoon.
See you all soon!

For those traveling near and far-be safe. I am leaving in a couple hours to set up our 4th annual Turkey/poker run. I will be a couple hours away from the house but could return if needed. Wish JV wasn't over 1000 miles away.
