how mush side to side axle travel is there
on a TJ when you cycle the suspension how much side to side travel does the front drive shaft experience up by the t-case.
I asume a little twords the drivers side and next to none twards the passenger side due to the track bar. does this sound right to you guys???? a little TJ with a few mods check her out at www.real-jeeps.com

Ask Michael Elloit,
He had that modified mopar engine skid and it worked but the DS hit it when he was flexing, you might want to see how much room there is around it. R/ William Karstens

my concern is my new T-case skid needs to be trimed as the front drive shaft hits before full drop it was origanally designed for an atlas which has the front shaft is a slightly different place I dont want to sut away a lot of it if I can Just slot the area where the drive shaft goes. I guess it is cut and test time.

Scott,
I have an original RE skid plate from their 1st generation Long Arm kit in my back yard. It raised the belly 1/2 the distance to flush and does incorporate a deep DS cutout. Tomorrow, I'll take a measure to it and get you some specs. SEth Tightey Whitey World |

Ok... the only logical way to measure was from the middle of the skid to the cut out.
From the middle, the beginning of the cut out is at approx 7 3/4". The end of the cut out, from the middle is at 11 3/4". (the cut out is 4" wide) The cutout is 2" deep. HTH Tightey Whitey World |

it is great it requiers no feet to operate only ocasional hand input and has been know to starve for fluid and go into nutral at the worst times. that is why I have a deep pan. no more starvation.

8274. The only choice.
I had a HS9500i originally and used it like crazy in the last couple of years. But I used to live in the middle of San Francisco and had it stolen off the jeep. When the insurance company paid, I bought the best money can buy. It is definitely faster and stronger than the 9500. I've used both a ton in west coast situations (read: no mud -- plenty of rocks and snow) and found the 8274 to be a grade above. And it looks DAMN cool: She does run a WEE bit warm in the desert heat at highway speeds, but never more than a tick above 210. And as for copied?? Hell no. I got there first! http://seth.rockcrawler.com/photo4.html Seth (decided to share all my cool wheelin' pics today) Tightey Whitey World |
