another Bead-Lock thread

I bought a set of Champion bead locks a while back and am ready to mount tires on them.

Question # 1 ... why in the hell aren't the valve stem holes welded up and re-located ???
Question # 2 ... anyone weld up the stock holes and re-locate the valve stem on the inter part of the wheel ?

Ive been told that I can use a 90deg valve stem in the factory hole, but I can find them locally.

TIA

They are welded up on most of our rims. Of course we took it upon ourselves to do it ahead of time.

Barring that, I have successfully used 75, 45, and 90 degree bolt in motorhome valvestems. Relocate the hole behind the WMS and stick the stem through one of the holes.

I just used a shorty rubber stem in the original hole as a plug and never use it for anything but to stop air from leaking out.

I think it takes a 7/16's hole and a slightly larger counterbore to create the flatspot for the o-ring on the new stem to seat against. I purchased these to do the various sets of rims I have been around and you are welcome to borrow them as needed.
