Hammers 2/2-3

We will be running Jack and Sledge Saturday. Pumpkin Eater at Stotard Wells Sunday. Requirements - - minimum tyre size 33's, hard lockers both ends and a general disregard for body metal.

Scott:
Start will be 8:00 sharp. Finnish is when the last vehicle is off the trail. Last weekend finish times ranged from 3:00 to 8:00 on Sunbonnet.

I will know on Thursday if I can go. I have made my cabin available for people to stay at for a scout event. if no one takes me up on it I will have all day Saturday to go.

Well JV trip is a dun deal! Got the new CTM u-joints installed late Friday night, well actually early Saturday morning. Early Saturday morning nine of us set out to do Jack Hammer. It went great and we still had time to play in the sand dunes. Sunday morning found four of us left to play on Pumpkin Eater at Stoddard Wells. And play we did, put Goodyear marks in places that had never seen tyre marks before. Jack had said the new CTM U-joints were indestructible. I am now sure they are. If the trip had been any more fun I am sure I would be trying to make bail at this moment.

It was a great time... I think I need an Antirock now...and a set of lower control arms...and a set of rear quarter pannel guards...and probably some different rocker guards...and a new gas tank skid. I need a third Job.

The upside is I finally have some nice action shots of the Jeep, and I got the rare privledge of hearing Garry make a "ugh oh" sound while defying the laws of physics at pumpkin eater.

Sounds like a fun time was certianly had by all! It is a good thing that you didn't need bail $$. This time of the year always brings cash flow problems for Jeepers! LOL

How did I miss this post?

I want to run Jack!

Quick question about fender flares. I can wheel ether without fender flares at all or with my old scratched Sahara fender flares attached. The idea behind the later is that the flares will act as a cushion between the rocks and sheet metal.

Most people I spoken to say that it is just better to run with no flares at all. What do you think?

My new fender flares are “detachable”, and I don’t want to scratch them up.

Questions about this run: Who is going? Who is camping? Is it ok if I show up (I don’t have a winch on my jeep at this time)?

You are about 26 days to late for this run.
