Why did my thread get locked?

I posted a technical question about Jeep tire pressures in the Jeep technical forum and I get a warning and the thread gets locked.
What is up with that?
I wanted to know how to make the jeep safer to drive for my wife to drive.
Bob

Based on observation upon reading the thread, it appears it was closed because it turned into a "conversation" that might have been better for PM's????

Maybe it crossed the line with the term Sebring, throwing it to off-topic.

{scratches head with a confused look on her face}

Ok, I hope it doesn't get too strict here.....

I agree. This is a nice place to hang out.

If you read the post it was still about the jeep.
Oh well!

Unfortunately, you have not been receiving a lot of technical answers, and the thread was quickly drifting in the off-topic direction. That's why it was locked.

Friendly chitchat is not welcome anymore. In the main section, please post strictly jeep related information, and keep clutter to minimum.

Well now well never know if anyone was going to add anything valuable.
I was still hoping to get some good advice. It is still a valid concern about the safety of the my jeep.
I'll go post it over a JU and see if I can get some good advice. Who would have thought!

this has the potential to be a very good board. There are only a few of us that use it. Most of us have met others and treat each other with respect. We do a pretty good job of policing ourselfs.
I really hope it doesn't become were it is a hassel to use. I'd much rather be here than be at JU...

You don't need to unlock it that wasn't the point. Although people like blaine don't ussually post until the evening or early morning.
I was more concerned about the reasons for it.
And now I get ***CENSORED*** if I mention another board! Whats going on?
What are all the hard feelings about?
WE can't mention other boards now?
OK What are all the rules? Are there some new ones I missed.

Everybody gets censored when they mention another board, not just you. It's not a rule; it's just the way it is.

Something must have happened!
I have no hard feelings. I'd like to know what is going on. Has there been a problem with trolls lately where we have the need to be so regulated?
You seemed to get upset for me mentioning ***CENSORED*** board has that been a problem?
I like this board and the people here. It is a good crowd!
Again, I'm just trying to figure things out not **** anyone off.
Bob
