WJ coils on a TJ?

A guy down the street from me with a TJ is wanting to put on a lift on his TJ for "no money" and has some WJ coils he picked up from somewhere.

Would these actually be a lift for a TJ? Hell, do they fit?

Tell him to get under his jeep, grab the handle of his floor jack and lift and lower the rig up and down on his head until he comes to his senses.

If he can't afford to lift it with even a cheap set of springs, how does he plan on solving all the problems he will encounter once it's higher?

I didn't even want to know.

I've seen the Jeep covered top to bottom in mud, so assume he wants a bigger tire for the local mud hole. I figured he'd need control arms, brackets, etc to do it right but didn't even want to go down that road.

I'd just never heard of putting WJ springs on a TJ before, but I don't keep up with coil spring tech (hell I don't keep up with coal cart tech either )
