Jeep Jack

I used my Jeep jack for the first time yesterday and now its broken. Can anyone suggest an alternative that will fit in the spot where the OEM jack was (behind the front passenger seat)? This thing is almost worthless.
Thanks,Jim

What broke? Most of us here have been using that jack for years without problem. Heck, I use mine all the time for my 35" tires if my floor jack isn't handy. A small hydraulic jack will probably fit into that location, you'll just have to look around. Sears has them, as does Harbor Freight Tools.

Common problem. Just hold it upright and smack the base on the pavement, turn the little handle the right direction and keep smacking it. It will eventually engage the screw mechanism and crank back in.

Like Blaine said, it seems to be common. Darrell and I both had this same problem on Wrecking Ball trying to bend his exhaust up out of the rocks. Although I was able to fix mine (and he presumably his), I was almost looking forward to him bringing his into the dealership for warranty and having them try to blame is on his lift/modifications.
