Last weekend in Big Bear

Just wanted to post to say thanks again to everyone for their help on my rig over the weekend. I will post the few pics that I have later. I did get a few cool videos of other rigs running over that spot that we sat at for several hours. Once I figure out how to hook my camcorder up to the PC, I will try to upload a few of those.

Thanks again.

Eric

I drove just fine in 2wd. The worst part wasn't the drive home. It was watching the video and the wife saying "What was that pop? THat didn't sound good" and then watching her walk out to the driveway and get ****ed about the tailgate. She even attempted to tell me that I can't wheel the ZJ anymore and I had to wait for the 3B to get done. I told her no to that one and I think that she has now fully realized that I am an idiot who loves to beat up a nice rig. I am actually surprised that it took her that long to realize that I am an idiot.

Yeah, after you had to head up the hill, my tailgate got a nice impression of the bas of Sean's hi-lift. Not really all that bad, but enough to get the wife mad.

I finally got all of my pics up. Just go to my homepage and click on the link for Deep Creek. There is a pic of the tailgate up on there.

Also, if anyone wants any of those pics, either feel free to steal the image that is up there, or if you want me to email you a higher res version (1280x960) let me know which ones, I will send those out.

Scott--
Trying to get Erics rig off the trail, I was backing up through the creek {actually getting pulled back by Sean off a rock}. There were two white TJ's behind me. Sean and some other guy. I was looking in the drivers door mirror and saw the white TJ backing back across the creek and thought it was sean. I backed into his highlift and never even felt it. There was just too many people shouting out directions.

I had a great time until, on our way to Pontiac Sluice, my rear shock bracket cracked and I had to limp out and home. I did take someone's advise and disconnected it. One shock worked OK on the highway.
It was nice to see Scott, Shalom, Chris L, Anders and a few others again.
William, Sean and Jason kept me laughing around the camp fire way too late. Not only can they dish it out, but they can take it too.
With the top down, I could cruise around Arrowhead and Big Bear on the pavement in the cool air and have fun! I forget how nice it is up there.
I rode tail gunner so I didn't take many pictures.
I did get one of William on a rock with his new mods.
Thanks guys!
Ron

OLD

New

Cool
Learning how to do stuff, and helping build tons of different jeeps.

A lot of people helped me get all this stuff done, but biggest thanks goes to Mr. Blaine for finageling (spelling) and all the help. With out his logistical skills, I'd be sitting on 33" swampers and a lock right in the rear, probably for the same money. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just think that I'm pretty happy with what I've got now. I learned a ton on the way too.

I ran this trail almost a year to the day ago. It was fun then, and was still fun now in my current configeration. I can just take more lines than I could before. The jeep is still about 2 steps above my skill level: I guess I need lots and lots of practise!!!
