I went longarm

pitman that is. In my search to get my new steering to work perfectly I found that I needed a longer pitman arm. It has the same drop as stock, but is 3/4" longer, which will bring back full turning lock to lock. Hopefully I got the measurements right, as I doubt they take returns.
It was made by Wagoner Machine.

Yes. It's 3/4" thick, which I believe is the same as stock.

No, but I do have a pitman arm for you. I'll bring it down tomorrow or Wednesday.

Woa, you had me there for a minute!
Let Andy know about your find, he has been looking for something similar, I may be as well soon.

Is a little pitman arm the reason we did not see you yesterday?

Rich:
I think he is sill only talking about four wheeling. When he drives down to Mark's he is going to do a major test on the way there. He is going to drive over a couple of those Bots Dots on the 405 to see if the ameba breaks up.

Gary,

Actually he is going to see if it will even make it to 55mph.

What, don't you think it would be safe by my shop or did you just not want to embarrass me by having it so close to the shop?

If he does drive it down atleast you won't be the only one to have seen it in person. I want to see the weld job!

This place gets ugly after hours.
Anyway, the pitman worked great on my 100' test drive.

I have a Tera knuckle for cheap if I want it(it's sitting in the back of my Jeep), I haven't even payed for it yet. So I was going to get some 1.25"X.25" DOM and do a beefy steering setup which will allow me to add a little more lift. IMO my stock steering won't work well if I add to my 4.5" lift. I have the part #s for Chevy one ton TREs but with my 4.5" BS wheels it looks like they might not fit. So I don't know if I want heims or not.

Is anyone working?

Paul with all who are on line now instead of working it could get a little more ugly!

Jeff but its always fun no matter what time it is. I need to see all the dent Jeff, I hear it has more dents than Hall's jeep.

Nothing has more dents than Garry's Jeep - but I'm catching up. If you use the popular Dents per Hammer Trip ratio I'm way ahead.
