How would swaybars (antrock) effect this?
This morning I've been playing with my new suspension on my RTI ramp (lowboy) to check for any binding issues and noticed something interesting:
If I go up forward my front does not flex nearly as much as the rear If I go up backwards the front out flexes the rear At TDS I got pretty twisted up on leval ground and the front and rear suspension balanced each other perfectly. Obviously its gravity screwing with me (weight transfer). So heres my question, would front and/or rear swaybars reduce the effect of the weight transfer? |

This is just a guess, but I would think yes. With a front anti rock and the rear sway bar the stuff is nearly the same front and rear when I drive up on Erik's tire. well, maybe it's little more stuffed in the back iirc, but the front does flex as well.

My guess is that for climbing you would want a rear swaybar to force the front to work. And for decending you would want only a front swaybar.
I still dont really get it though... Using the climbing example, by adding a rear swaybar are you really transfering any weight back to the front? I dont think so... So whats going on? |
