JU Kilby Group Buy

I don't know if y'all get over to JU much anymore. I don't normally, but did today to look at some old XJ posts, and read that there is a Kilby group buy on the Wrangler forum. If anyone is interested you'll find it over there posted by MattBrew or something.

Just so you know Ace- Mattbrew is the guy that I sent my airaid and carpet to. He has so far hosed me on payment and won't respond to my e-mails.

Nice guy to have putting together a group buy.

That's interesting, because I saw that he's asking for all the billing info, including people's credit card numbers. I was kicking around the idea of calling Brad, but I really only 'want' a Kilby skid, and I 'need' adjustable control arms, so I decided to hold off. Oh well, I wouldn't give all of my billing/credit card info to anyone anyway (except the business owner).

I originally posted this thinking William might see it and want to get in on it, but with your input (and his driveline decisions) it definitely sounds like a 'no-go'. Thanks!

There's enough knowledge here to get a Kilby skid rather cheap if I wanted to. I'm going to play with my tomken once I get moved in to see if I can raise it up to a higher level all by it's self.

thanks for the heads up mrblaine ... I was seriously considering ordering a TJ gas tank skid from the group buy, but I had an issue with giving the credit card info in such a "non-secure" fashion. I may contact Brad directly, unless you guys can talk me into a different skid plate

Yeah, I think William is saying the ACF is another brand to look at. It's supposed to offer high quality. You can find them at http://www.allcustomfabrications.com They are priced at $199.95 for the raised version, but you MUST have a 1" body lift (per their website) to use the raised version. The non-raised version is somewhat less at $169.95

Amy, Brad Kilby is a friend of mine and although I don't want to hurt his feelings, I like both of our ACF skids better for design reasons.

I really like the one on Kat's jeep. Either one will serve your purpose well and when you call Brad, you can tell him that I sent you and you can probably work him over for a better deal than the group buy. Pick either, they are both good.

I have another reason for going with ACF. I was instrumental in the development of the raised one over 2 years ago. I have the first raised ACF skid made, on my jeep.
