Thumbs up Officially checking in.....

Evening all.

Looking to broaden my horizons when it comes to Jeep forums.

Done some lurking here and was impressed by the helpful answers and lack of angst and juvenile antics posted too often on the other boards, which will remain nameless.

Won't bore you with my details here, but please check my profile for an idea of where I come from.

Hopefully, I'll earn the respect of others here and give the same.

Permission to join the crowd.

Cheers,
Mike

Thank you for noticing. We try fairly hard and most don't realize that it takes a bit of effort to try and give appropriate answers to stuff. It's easier to just pound out the common hearsay repeatedly until it becomes pseudo-fact.

Don't get me wrong, I am guilty of making mistakes and being out of line as much as the next guy. It just bothers me more. Another thing I am really bad at is welcoming the valued new members. I don't expect that to change, but I do promise to try. Anyway, glad you found us and Welcome!

Cheers,

Thumbs up Thanks Hunter

I don't know a huge amount about jeeps, but I've been driving the things for over 25 yrs, including the venerable ol' M151A1 in the early days of my military career. I have a tendency to become, if not an expert, extremely proficient at anything that I become very attached to or interested in (e.g., Harley's, guns, edged weaponry, VW's, BMW's, etc.), so this too will come to pass with the TJ, albeit with help and mentoring from my fellow 'philes.

I will contribute more and more as I learn the same from you folks.

Really looking forward to it as well.

Cheers,
Mike

Thanks Frank.

BTW, if anyone hasn't checked out Frank's awesome "Keep your Jeep" articles on theft prevention measures, you're missing a great deal of excellent information. It works, and works well I might add.
Thanks again.
Cheers,
Mike
