Rev 9" Skid Plate!

Mr. Blaine I finished that project. Your spare diff came in handy!

This is a first version done quickly today, to go wheeling and try it tomorrow!

What a bunch of angles, the next one will be a little different, but this should work. Hopefully no more hanging up or breaking hubs.

I'll call you about bringing that stuff to you early next week!

Looks good, how many do you want to make? If you make them, they will line up at your door to buy them.

Thumbs up

I like it! Is there an 8.8 version in the works? If not, you can use mine to prototype one.

After grinding up the bolts on my HP9, I was thinking of doing something similar. Looks great!

Unbolt it.

The skid is bolt on and easily removes.

I see now.....the mounting brackets are welded to the housing and the skid bolts to the brackets.....I couldn't figure out why you welded it on there.

Looks good. :thumbs up:

Okay, I'm a retard and haven't had enough sleep and/or coffee.
Do you have a pic of this when it's not on the axle? I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the mounting

Mounting Qs

The pinion area just invision a real strong muffler clamp.

The housing has tabs welded to it outside of the center section. When the skid is unbolted there is nothing in the way of removing the center diff section.

It's just a skid plate, not unbendable.

First time it bent from a hard hit you would havve even more problems.

Edit after yours, It's for a High pinion anyhow.

Great idea Mark. I like it.

Time for a LR axle seal, though!
