Sedona

Deb and I are heading for Sedona on the weekend of november 8th & 9th. Would like to tow the jeep out and wheel a day with the AZ folks if possible. Stu? anyone want to put a trial ride together for us Kalifornians?

Sedona rocks. Lots of beautiful jeep trails and places to explore.

We were there in June.

That would probably work. I've Jeeped in Sedona twice and found it to be VERY disappointing, IMO. The land agencies have closed everything that resembles a good trail (again, my opinion). Very few folks in the Phoenix area drive up to Sedona to run the couple of trails that are there.

However.....about 30 minutes north of Phoenix, just off the freeway at the Table Mesa exit, there are a number of trails that would be worth running.

Sethmark.....do you have any info on the trails you ran? (perhaps you were wheelin' on closed trails?_

There wasn't any wheelin'. Just dirt roads with beautiful scenery. Didn't realize I had to use 4wd to have fun!

I might just join you if you do Sedona. I'll have to see if Humpty Dumpty develops any more cracks after Moab. Are you camping? I've stayed in Oak Creek Canyon a couple of times. It's pretty cold in winter, fall is probably nicer.

My mistake....anyone that has previously asked me about wheeling while visiting the area has always wanted to do a 3.0+ and up trail. I made an assumption that could be wrong.

I will agree that Sedona has some very nice scenery that can be seen from the dirt roads. It is pretty neat.
