And to think, while I was in an airport a few months ago, I was talking to one of the staff members who works at the American Consulate in Argentina, South America.
He mentioned that gas was ~0.17 per gallon. Yes, that's seventeen US cents per gallon. |

At least diesel is cheaper than regular, which is more than I can say for any of the stations around me.

It's been a few years since I've been through Bridgeport or Lee Vining, but I'd bet they're both well above the $5 per gallon mark, too. It really ****es me off how the stations away from well-populated areas gouge people. I always made damn sure to have plenty of fuel so I didn't need to stop in either of those places....
Unleaded was $3.15 and $4.09 for diesel when I left Tucson on Tuesday. Now that I sold the camper and don't need the higher towing capacity, I'm seriously considering replacing the Dodge with a 1/2-ton gasser.

Holland:
1 liter Euro 95 gas = Euro 1.56 x 1.59 (US $ conversion) = $2.48 x 3.8 (liter to gallon conversion) = $9.43/gallon you've still got a little ways to go BTW: the diesel is still cheaper over here than regular gas. But let's not include road taxes (US equivalent is registration sticker) to make a completely fair yearly cost comparison, because then you'll completely fall of your chair ...
