Some Moab Pictures...........

Thanks to Sergey I can post some pictures.
Here's Hellbender on the Launch Pad to Golden Spike:

Here is JimB on Lower Helldorado getting some extra credit and letting it hang out!

Here is Steve from Colorado at the entrance to lower Helldorado. He was up high:

His next trick was to swing it around and with some fancy clutch work he managed to get in this position:

He had three wheels in the air and stuck on the stock skid pan. He did a 90 degree plus whirlagig on the rock. He was good to go after a complicated winch job.
Here's me on a rock in Upper Helldorado. You must turn left on this rock or hit a wall or fall in as Steve did.

Another rock you must go over. Problem is the approach and you have to make a sharp left turn coming off it.

I'll post some more pictures soon!
Thanks Sergey for the space!
Ron

Thumbs up

Those are some kick ass pictures!

So, what is the biggest challenge when wheeling in Moab? Would that be keeping the jeep from rolling over?

Thank you!

Sergey,
I would say like most wheeling, knowing your limitations and trusting your spotter!
Tires don't seem to make much of a difference and the only Trail 35+ are needed is Upper Helldorado. One old timer did it on 33s in a YJ but we stacked a bunch of rocks and he didn't have much fun.

Nice pictures! Glad you had a good time and came home safe. Please post some more for those among us who don't actually get to go off road...

Jim B the challenge there is to be his spotter and know he is NOT going to listen.

After looking at pictures I have to ask, is a mangled hood a rite of passage on these runs?

Hey Ron, very very nice pictures. It is becoming readily apparent that you are a better photographer than jeep driver.

Kat,
Well, April took some of them. Probably the better ones. It's really hard to spot folks and take pictures at the same time, so April covers me with her camera (if she's there). The new cameras are really fun for us. Thanks, your pictures inspired me!

Blaine,
U B A Smardass.
