Reverse engineering fillets
I am designing a part that is supposed to snap on top of somebody else’s part. The somebody else’s part has fillets (rounded edges).
What’s a good way for me to manually reverse engineer the fillets on somebody else’s part? Is there, perhaps, a set of measuring templates available, similar to those used to measure threads pitch? |

Perfect. This looks exactly like what I need. I ordered me a set of the metric variety.
Thank you. |

I just received my radius gauge set from Grizzly. Looks good. But have you seen the Grizzly's catalog? They put a free one in my package. It's 700 pages, full color, on white paper, with good pictures: very nice.
