My boss purchased me a Palm Pilot. It's a Zire 71. Takes pictures, holds MP3's (can't find where to put my CD's in it though ), and does scheduling. It won't link to my work computer yet, and never will with my home 'puter (windows 95 at home).

What else do these crazy things do?

You can get a GPS for it fi you don't have one yet. You can play games too

If you have a cell phone, you can use it for wireless connectivity (email, browser, etc.) with the right serial cable, or with irda. I don't believe that particular Zire is upgradable to Wi-Fi though.

Is that an actual palm pilot or is it a pocket PC? If it's a pocket PC then you can install Microsoft Streets and Trips on it (once you can get the work computer to hook up to it). That's a nice program to use, I just bought it. If it has wireless function, you could surf the web.

I asked for an old one that the officers would chuck when they get new ones. They bought a new one anyway. So, another electrical device that I'll grow hopeless in need of and will have problems functioning with out. Like a cell phone. Didn't need it, got it, and now.. it would suck to be with out it.
