Tranny Fluid Change on High Mile: Flush or Drain and Fill?

Well guys I need to do another 30K fluid change on AW4 tranny with a 150K miles. I haven't decided to do either a flush or drain and fill. I went to my family friend's tranny shop and asked what my cost would be on a service AKA drain and fill. He said not to do a flush. Because it can actually do more damage than good. The last service the tranny had was just a drain and fill and it has lasted a good 50K. What do you all recomend? I am tending to beleive my tranny guy because of his 25 years+ experience.

I had the filters changed and the flush done for mine last year. I haven't had problems yet so I'm keeping the fingers crossed. I'm right at 135K on the mileage too.

I don't know if the Ford auto trannies are any more or less susceptible to the damage that your friend is speaking of, but the Dealership's service dept. is only doing flushes unless you request differently. They drain and fill is the same price as the flush so I wonder why they recommend the flush??
