Where does the noise originate?

Does it only happen in 4low or 2 high, etc?

Do you have any vibrations?

Have you cleaned the dust off the Jeep since LCIR?

Might I suggest a very good set of earplugs.

Did you hear the one about the old man in the drug store buying earplugs and a big box of condoms?

It is not who you know, It is who knows you

Is that the one where the old man used ear plugs not only for the ears but for the nostrals too, because he did not like the screams, and the smell of burning rubber?

Don,

I would say that perhaps your ujoint is stressed and wanting to give up. Or perpahs your drive shaft is giving way. If you can drive through some place that is somewhat enclosed (like behind a supermarkette where there is a cement wall) to here noises reflected, see if there is a wigedy wigedy noise.. Also a sign.

And this "sign" you speak of, is it a ray of light from the sky, or what?

Well...the story goes like this:

There was this un-named person or person's who went to Big Bear and ran over a "trail sign" the un-named person or person's, left in a really big hurry and left the sign for dead, where it had fallen, didn't even look back for signs of life. Also the un-named person or person's did about $600 dollars worth of damage to the drivers fender flare and front fender. The un-named color of the un-named person or person's Jeep will remain un-named. But un-named person or person's gets to be razzed about killing the sign for the remainder of their Jeeping life(if you know what I mean)

Noise

Mr. seed:

I note you are from the left coast, were you actually born and raised there?

This is important as the pronunciation and sound (even phonetically) of "wigety" would differ with a "valley girl" accent verses my "hillbilly twang".

JeepKat:

I'm working on a major (2-3 weeks) left coast trip this fall (after my kids start school). I'll ship my rig out on a transport and fly out to meet it. I want to take in all the major 4x4 attractions possible and maybe make a BAJA run also.

Maybe I can hear the whole "sign" story, then. I have one (a sign story), too.

Coast to Coast

We'll look forward to seeing you, are you up for a trip to the "Hammer Trails?” how late in the fall? The Victor Valley 4-Wheelers is putting on the Rocktober Fest in October. We went last year and had a blast!

I'm thinking of driving my Jeep on the girl trail (whatever that is).
