Yep, those are bogus. I am getting a lot of phishing e-mails like these. Bastards!

I recieved a similar email ~5 months ago!

Funny thing is; I've never had an account with the real company!

Sounds almost like a disgruntled employee trying to sabotage them & cash-in.

What's interesting is that another address comes up when you go to the link, one in the address bar and another dangling in space right below it.

Likely not, more likely some kid somewhere that just figured out phishing schemes from his internet savvy 12 year old buddies.

I would like to get my hands on just one spam generator. Just one. I figure by the time I get through feeding it a few choice computer chunks, unlubricated, they will be more than happy to delete my email addy from their files.

Wow, Citibank is having the same problems. The amazing thing is that I received this email and I have no accounts with Citibank.

this is my first time getting this type of email.
i did speak with them at ebay, and paypal. they are indeed fake.
they look good though. i could see how some could easily fall into these emails, and give out their information.

Some of you might find this interesting.

Here is a quiz some of us at work in the IT department have taken. There are 10 example emails. Some are legitimate and some are Phishing attempts. Most people can't correctly guess all 10 - I got 9 of them on the previous quiz, but haven't taken this one.
