Moab trails...
We are heading to Moab in the middle of April. It's my first time so I'm pretty stoked! Are there any trails that you guys would put at the top of the list? I hear Prichett Canyon is a "must". I'm looking to benefit from some previous experience. TIA!

pritchett is a must.
make sure you do rocker knocker. it is an illusive line. this is the line this is not the line potatoe salad hill is also something to do once, and have on the books. i recommend having a cable attatched just-in-case. my time there was too short, and would heve liked to do the crack just to say i did. have lots of fun, and take pictures! here is a link to more pictures http://pierviews.com/photogallery/moab/new_page_1.htm |

"The Pickle" and "Behind The Rocks" if you're looking for something challenging. "Moab Rim" is great for scenery.

Not having a clue what you are set up for nor what your epxerience level is, I will not suggest a trail for you to try. While I certainly agree that Moab Rim is scenic, I would not consider it an easy trail for many folks....compared to something like Fins and Things. People routinely roll on the Z-turn obstacle on Moab Rim.
Alien....head over to my site and click on the Trails link. You should find some Moab trail runs there with plenty of pics and comments. Look through them....you should be able to get some kind of idea as to what you may wish to try. Also, I would suggest you purchase a copy of the Charles Wells book for Moab 4WD Trails. They run about $20 on-line and it is without a doubt the best investment you will make for your Moab trip. |

Nailer.....your 2nd video runs fine, but I keep getting an error on the 1st one, even after downloading it a second time. Maybe it is just my PC?

As for my TJ, I run 35" MTR's, beadlocks, ARB's, d44 rear (with chromoly shafts) and HP 30 front, lots of armor and a full cage. I like technical, challenging trails. Some of my favorite spots around here are Katemcy Rocks in Mason, TX. and Clayton, OK. I'll check out the book you recommended as well. Thanks. |

If it's dry and you've got a good spotter and you stay to the right, the winch hook up is not necessary Have fun

Alien,
Your rig should be capable of most anything Moab has to offer. If you are, your choice of trails will be pretty much unlimited. I hope you enjoy your trip. I'll be there in about 5 weeks.....getting more and more difficult to wait as the trip draws closer. |

Glad to hear the book arrived. I've almost worn mine out....the back is broken and I have to be careful not to lose any pages. I wish I had 10% of all book referal sales.
Good luck on your trip! Keep all 4 on the ground. |
