TJ front coilovers???
thinkin' about doin' this in the front. got some questions for anyone with any experience with 'em.
FWIW, the rear are RE 4.5" springs and I'd plan on using the Currie towers. The lenght numbers on the fox 12" shocks seem right for where the currie mounts put the top eye, can anyone confirm this? are the 2.0 coilovers sufficient or would the 2.5s be better suited? I did a quick check on the fox website and didn't see anything about springs. maybe i just missed it. if not... where should I be looking for springs and what rates??? thank you. Brian.

If I take the other job, I may just do it because I can afford it. BTW... Erik, could you do some research on Fox part # 960-99-009-A?

Brian - you need coilovers like you need a custom built rear D44 with ABS that you disable - oh wait...you already have one of those...

I'm not sure the term "need" applies to any of our Jeeps.

I don't "need" a hole in my head because I already "have" a hole in my wallet
So Brian - can't you break out the camera phone and take a stealth shot of those bolt-ons |

O.K., back on topic... bumpstops, do I need to get fancy airshock type bumpstops or can something be fabbed? or do you not need bumpstops (i doubt this)?

What section of their website is it under?
I saw the Currie kit last week when I was there. I didn't pay that much attention, but it looked clean and I want to compare it visually to what Poly has. Jeff |

How exactly will one's TJ benefit from a nearly $2000 front coilover kit compared to say adding $300 worth of nice shocks to an otherwise nicely lifted Jeep?
Brian, put that $2K towards a down payment on a nice natural gas car for your new commute. You're gonna' need it!

You could also just go to DEAVER in Santa Ana and have them make you set of custom coils.
Only $245 a pair.... Ask me how I know...

YES, I took my jeep to a scale (there is one across the street from Deaver)
they weighed the front, the rear and total. I am happy with my existing ride height, so I had deaver Measure the ride height for reference, Then they took my existing coils measured them for the spring rate did some calculations and VOILA, in about 2 weeks I will have a brand new set of slightly stiffer, same ride height progressive-rate coils. I am going very mellow on the progressive rate, about the last few coils will be 20lbs stiffer than the rest of the coil. My jeep is a pig and a bit weighty. The nice thing about it, is that if I am not happy they will make another set until it is perfect.. pretty cool.. and since I already have some nice shocks, and a ZJ, I.E, very hard to put on coilovers it should work out good.. go over there and talk to SCOTT of JEFF, they are great guys....

Yes, they take into account what you are doing with rig..
I.E. rockcrawling or racing.. I wanted a good all-around spring, one that flexes well offroad, makes the jeep slightly better in the off camber stuff and can handle a bit of camping gear in the back. I dont do the high speed stuff, even though I have remote ressi shocks... but oh well..
