installed Currie HD steering -> question?
Hello all,
finally got around to installing the Currie HD steering set up (thanks Blaine ). All went well (aligning the tierod clamps with the litte groove is a bit of a pain though). Just took it for test drive and it tightened up the steering quite a bit, guess those OEM tierod ends weren't helping either ... One question I've got though -> I needed to adjust the draglink quite a bit to center the steeringwheel and it didn't work to tighten it the other way around, since the sleeves didn't have enough adjustment for that (finally it ain't 180* off anymore) and I'm wondering if that much 'exposed' thread is a problem: Currie steering + draglink up close Any advise is helpful

Not to hijack the thread but LCA skids are next on my list. Blaine do you have a recommendation for a particular set of skids? Are they bolt-on or welded? I have some bookmarked that are all designed to be welded in place.

got mine from. back then, AFM manufacturing in TX and now Mike Green makes them (something like 20 bucks for the set - weld on) http://www.mikegreen4x4.com/index.htm
His website says he's taking a break until May 2005 though |
