Best Mig Gloves

You would think by now I'd have found the best gloves for what I do.

Nope.

My new "all around general purpose" for mig, tig, and some stick is the Tillman 42L. Second best is the 35L. I still use other gloves for more specialized stuff, but I really like these 2 gloves from Tillman

Note: The letter after the glove model number denotes size. I use L.

I have a few different pairs I use, and one brand new pair. I can't seem to remember what brand any of them are. The pair I haven't used yet is a very patriotic red, white and blue. I got from a local Westair welding supply store. I like these gloves so much that I haven't used them yet. I think I've had them at least a year.

we use those gloves at work and sometimes i can bring them home.
the grey pair are really thin and good for dexterity. but you can poke your finger through them with little effort. just remember to use more care with them. sometimes i will wear a thin (dark brown, dont know the name) cotton glove under them for a bit more thermal protection.

tillman has another glove too that is thicker but still very flexible and makes working with smaller parts easy. these are not your old school arc welding gloves. i will try to find the number. the gloves we get are grey.

mechanics gloves are not good for welding and grinding.

Is it standard practice to not wear a glove on the rod feeding hand while tig welding?

I'm finding it near impossible to feed rod with a glove on...
