2001 xj - no floor heat

my cherokee floor heat doesn't come on... all the other vents seem to work - and the fan speed switch works. I'm assuming it's either the mode control module, the vac line to the actuator or the floor vent actuator itself.

I forget how much air used to blow out of the floor the last time i used it (last year!). So, when the heat is on the floor only setting, how much heat - if any - still comes out of the defroster? And on full fan setting is there noticeably much more air blowing out of the floor vents than any other vents? I seem to just get heat radiating out.

The real irritating bit is that i just noticed this last week - and two months ago the dealer did a bunch of warranty work to the heater box. i'm betting they messed it up, and now my warranty is up!

If the problem is occuring due to the dealership screwing up an install or repair, they have to fix it, even though your main warranty is over.

2 months wouldn't be too long of a time period for you to go back and ask them to check their work.

I'd take it back and make them fix it, the sooner the better.
