Your Prayers and Thoughts for a Hero

Your Prayers and Thoughts for a Hero

For the last few hours, and still as I write this, events just 5 miles from my home have been unfolding that defy any reasonable persons ability to comprehend.

Police and Fire Fighters where called to a site of a domestic depute with gun shots. Upon arrival at the site they found a husband shooting at his wife with a riffle. The police then came under riffle fire from inside a home. Several officers have been hit.

One fire fighter, Lt. Cowen, ran through a field while under riffle fire to administer emergency medical care to the wounded woman.

Lt. Brenda Cowen has been killed.

The conditions of the Police Officers who have been hit is unknown at this time as this situation is still unfolding.

Say a prayer folks, or give some thought in your own ways.

Hero is a word I believe is grossly overused in our society. But not tonight.

Not in the actions of this young woman, Lt. Cowen.

She voluntarily ran through harms way to give aid to a gunshot victim. This wasn't her job. This isn't what a Fire Fighter should be called on to do. Yet she did it.

She did what she saw was the right thing to do for something, someone, a cause greater then herself.

I have to close this now.

As this event continues to spiral out of control I believe with all my being there is one event this evening not out of control at all.

I believe the soul of this beautiful woman is currently traveling at the speed of light through the either in the straightest of lines to her rightful place, at the Right Hand of God.

God Bless you Dear.

Frank

Why do people feel the need to impose their violence on the brave and innocent.

Prayers and thoughts.

Unhappy

What a shame is right, and what a waste of a very promising life. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
