Smile Robert installs new HPD30 in his TJ (pics).

Yesterday turned into a fine day of wrenching with Robert. Things went well, with only minor road bumps. Big thanks goes to Robert for allowing me to lend a hand, and to Jay also who loaned us the use of his facility. Hopefully Robert will chime in with some details. Here's a few pics while in progress:

Mostly everything still together:

Old pinion & DS angles:

Gear pattern of new HPD30 w/3.73's & Detroit:

Cousins:

Things are begining to come together:

Robert, thanks for the hospitality & evening checking out the eye candy in your neck of the woods! LOL I'm looking forward to doing another project in the future sometime.

Appreciate the helping hands Joe. Thanx also go to Blaine, Jay and Steve for help and advice along the way. Also to Seth who hooked me up on the new gear set.

I wish we had an after shot of the finished install but it was a long day and we were tired and spaced it. Maybe one of these days I can get it done as the before and after position of the driveshaft bears being printed - it is quite dramatic. My driveshaft which used to be below the control arms is now entirely above them.

Lastly, all you folks who were out at the Grand Canyon - check for loose crap under your rigs - I had a few minor suprises waiting for me

When I go home later today, I'll email the rest of the pics to you (~25). I got caught up with household chores last night & forgot about doing it, sorry....
